Alain Graillot ‘Syrocco’ Syrah Zenata, 2023

This wine is made of 100% Syrah, and is a fresh, fruit-forward, and juicy Mediterranean red wine. Alain Graillot found the vineyard for this Syrah while on vacation in Morocco, resurrecting a near abandoned winery with old vines of the grape he mastered at home in the Northern Rhone. Because of its coastal location, the vineyard does not suffer from drastic temperature spikes, staying cool with a fresh Atlantic breeze. Juicy blue fruit and a fresh cut green pepper are held together by grippy tannins, making for a great wine to pair with a seafood tagine, lamb or other lean grilled meats, and grilled summer veggies.
